LG dryer not heating: heating element replacement in Charlotte
By OK Appliance Repair
The drum turned, but the dryer did not heat
During a dryer repair in Charlotte, we ran an LG dryer and confirmed the problem: the drum turned, but there was no heat.
The heating element had no continuity
We opened the dryer and checked the heating element for continuity. The test showed an open circuit: there was no continuity through the element.
We replaced the complete heating-element assembly in its metal housing, rather than replacing only the coil.

Heat returned after the replacement
After installing the replacement assembly, we ran the dryer again and confirmed that it heated. The repair was completed in one visit.
We also checked airflow and the vent and cleaned lint from inside the dryer.

Airflow is another part of a dryer check
LG’s troubleshooting guidance explains that restricted airflow can affect heating and drying performance. The continuity finding in this case identified a faulty heating element; the vent check and lint cleaning were separate parts of the service.
